Velocity Recreation is a 501(c)3 Colorado nonprofit that provides accessible sports, outdoor recreation, and experiential learning opportunities for homeschool youth and their families. Through active, family-centered programs, we help young people build confidence, develop life skills, foster meaningful friendships and community connections, and discover lifelong interests in recreation, wellness, and adventure.
Not a homeschooler? No problem, we welcome anyone who can make the practice times/days.
Family-Centered Programming
Unlike many youth programs, Velocity encourages active family participation. Parents are involved in activities alongside their children, creating opportunities for stronger relationships, meaningful community connections, and shared learning experiences.

Our Impact
Each year, Velocity Recreation serves more than 250 youth annually through sports, outdoor recreation, specialty enrichment programs, and experiential learning opportunities.
Our programs:
• Promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles
• Encourage teamwork, leadership, and resilience
• Create opportunities for meaningful family participation
• Reduce barriers to recreational and educational experiences
• Foster social connection within the homeschool community
All programs are designed to be accessible, family-centered, and developmentally appropriate for youth ages 2.5–18.

Raise Money for Your Family
You can earn money for activites with Velocity Recreation at no cost to you. The more Velocity Families spend, the more everyone earns!
King Soopers: Shop at King Soopers? Earn for your family at no cost to you! Just link your card. Log into your King Soopers account, click on Community Rewards then search for Velocity Recreation either by name or DM522 then click Enroll . That's it! Every time you use your Alt ID you are earning for Velocity and yourself.
At the end of the quarter send us a screen shot showing your contribution and you will earn 100% of your contributions as a voucher to put towards your activities with Velocity!
Friends and family can earn for you too! Have them link their card, then send you the screenshot each quarter!
Community Partnerships
Climb Denver - We host monthly rock climbing trips with Climb Denver.
They are also offering our families a great deal on summer camps. Mention Velocity when booking.
Fly Mile High Trapeze - We host weekly trapeze lessons with Fly Mile High (May-Oct).
On the off season if the weather is nice we host last minute trips too.
Live Love Dance Studio - is offering a special 6 week dance session for Velocity. Book through their website.

Scholarship Fund
We believe cost should not be a barrier to participation. Through community support, sponsorships, and grants, Velocity Recreation works to reduce fees for higher-cost enrichment opportunities such as rock climbing, outdoor recreation, and specialty programs so more homeschool families can participate.
For our in-house sports (Kickball, Softball, Soccer & Track) we are so excited to offer a scholarship fund.
This fund is being made possible by our previous Amazon Smile and current King Soopers Community Donations donations!
This fund is for families that maybe can't afford our sports or can't afford to pay for all of their children to participate.
If you would love to play sports with us but the funds just aren't there please send us an email.
