Building Confidence, Connection, and Healthy Lifestyles Through Recreation
Velocity Recreation is a 501(c)3 Colorado nonprofit that provides accessible sports, outdoor recreation, and experiential learning opportunities for homeschool youth and their families. Through active, family-centered programs, we help young people build confidence, develop life skills, foster meaningful friendships and community connections, and discover lifelong interests in recreation, wellness, and adventure.
While our programs are designed with homeschool families in mind, our activities are open to any family whose schedule aligns with program times.
Family-Centered Programming
Unlike many youth programs, Velocity encourages active family participation. Parents are involved in activities alongside their children, creating opportunities for stronger relationships, meaningful community connections, and shared learning experiences.

Our Impact
Each year, Velocity Recreation serves more than 250 youth annually through sports, outdoor recreation, specialty enrichment programs, and experiential learning opportunities providing hundreds of participation opportunities for homeschool families throughout the year.

All programs are designed to be accessible, family-centered, and developmentally appropriate for youth ages 2.5–18.

Fly Mile High Trapeze - Pivate Weekly trapeze lessons for Velocity families with Fly Mile High (May-Oct).
On the off season if the weather is nice we host last minute trips too.
Live Love Dance Studio - Provides exclusive dance opportunities designed specifically for Velocity participants.
Movement Climbing Gym - Family rock climbing experiences for Velocity throughout the year.

Adventure Access Fund
Every child should have the opportunity to experience recreation, outdoor adventure, and enrichment regardless of financial circumstances. Through community sponsorships, grants, and donations, Velocity helps reduce participation costs for activities such as rock climbing, trapeze, outdoor recreation, and other specialty programs so more families can participate.
Support allows us to reduce participation costs by subsidizing individual activity fees, making specialty enrichment more accessible for homeschool families.

Scholarship Fund
We believe cost should not be a barrier to participation.
For our in-house sports (Kickball, Softball, Soccer & Track) we are so excited to offer a scholarship fund.
This fund is being made possible by generous anonymous donors!
This fund is for families that maybe can't afford our sports or can't afford to pay for all of their children to participate.
If you would love to play sports with us but the funds just aren't there please send us an email.
Raise Money for Your Family
You can earn money for activites with Velocity Recreation at no cost to you. The more Velocity Families spend, the more everyone earns!
King Soopers: Shop at King Soopers? Earn for your family at no cost to you! Just link your card. Log into your King Soopers account, click on Community Rewards then search for Velocity Recreation either by name or DM522 then click Enroll . That's it! Every time you use your Alt ID you are earning for Velocity and yourself.
At the end of the quarter send us a screen shot showing your contribution and you will earn 100% of your contributions as a voucher to put towards your activities with Velocity!
Friends and family can earn for you too! Have them link their card, then send you the screenshot each quarter!
